In the early hours of the morning, the Enforcement Directorate (ED) launched raids on four locations in Sandeshkhali, West Bengal, targeting the hideouts of Shahjahan Sheikh. Central security forces accompanied the ED team during the raids, which come in the wake of heightened scrutiny following previous attacks on ED personnel by supporters of Sheikh. 

Sheikh Shahjahan, currently in Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) custody until March 14 for his alleged involvement in the attack on the ED team in January, faces intensified scrutiny as the investigation unfolds. The raids are part of broader investigations into incidents surrounding the attack on ED personnel, including the involvement of a former state minister in a ration distribution scam case, underscoring the multifaceted nature of ongoing probes.
